229 Days and Counting....
When the heck did December get here? I mean the holidays usually fly by, but this is a little ridiculous. Is there some special space-time continuom that happens the year that you are engaged? I just hope that this means winter will fly by. As I stated before, I am not winter's biggest fan. Especially since it took me four hours to get to work yesterday. Did I mention that I live 9 miles away from work? It snowed all of 1 inch and people forget that they should drive with extreme caution, so needless to say if this is the start of the dark season I am NOT happy!
Ok, on to wedding stuff...the Save The Dates are out (will be referred to as STDs now, so don't think I have The Clap when speaking of it) and I managed to get most of the addresses from my Fiance's family, but not too many from FI himself. Of course 25 year old guys really don't care about STDs, so I'm not going to bother to harrass him (anymore). There seemed to be an overall positive response to them from what I've heard and I need all the positive reinforcement I can get! It just helps me to justify my anal-retentiveness to my FI.
THE DRESS IS IN!!! Woo Hoo! I have two weeks to pick it up, so now my only worry is that it won't fit. I have been dieting for three weeks now (Weight Watchers=WW) on WW and have lost over 5 lbs now, but since I can't stress about it not being here I need something else to stress about. Or that it's the wrong dress...oooh wouldn't that suck! I'm not sure why I like to torture myself so much over this, but the dress is probably one of the biggest deals. I definitely don't want to look like a stuffed sausage on my wedding day! I'm only asking for 20lbs in 8 months, that's not too much to ask...right?
I also scheduled my wedding related (wedding relate=WR) appointments for when I go home for Christmas. Since I am planning from afar, you do as many things as possible in the short jaunts you make home. Thankfully, I'll be home for about a week, so it won't be nearly as stressful as seeing 12 reception sites in three days! Plus on top of the WR appointments, my mom and I will be making votive candles. I have had these glass votives in my trunk since I bought them two months ago and have been praying that I don't get rear ended (you'd think I'd move them, but of course not...too lazy) and hopefully my luck will stay with me until I get home.
Maybe I'll move them to at least the back seat....grrrr something else to stress about, great...
